Ted Kincaid’s "Towards a Queer Transcendence" Opens March 8 at Liliana Bloch Gallery

I'm excited to share that local, well-known queer artist Ted Kincaid will be presenting his latest exhibition, "Towards a Queer Transcendence," at the Liliana Bloch Gallery. Ted is widely respected for his innovative approach to blending photography and painting, as well as his exploration of the intersection between queer identity and spiritual metaphysics. His works, such as the Lunar and Cloud series, are celebrated for their transformative and evocative depictions of nature, challenging the boundaries of reality and imagination.

The opening reception for "Towards a Queer Transcendence" will take place on March 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Liliana Bloch Gallery located at 4741 Memphis Street, Dallas, TX 75207. The exhibition will run through April 19, 2025.

In this new body of work, Kincaid moves beyond traditional representations of the external world and into the realm of the spiritual, focusing on the concept of "Queer Inner Divinity." The exhibition challenges outdated cultural and binary understandings of gender, sexuality, and identity while celebrating the inherent sacredness and authenticity within queer individuals. Kincaid's art pushes the boundaries of heteronormativity and cisnormativity, offering alternative ways of being and experiencing the world.
